My Testimony of my Faith Walk – Wednesday 13 April 2022.

I was first introduced to the LORD many years ago, but never really had faith until my 35th birthday.

I gained faith over the years since then, though I have had many bad things happen in my life, I have grown in faith, knowing the LORD is with me through the good and bad times.

I read the Psalms a lot, and my favourite Psalm is 29. In the Last two years it has given me great comfort, along with many other Psalms.

Ascribe to the LORD Glory.

Psa 29:1  A Psalm of David. Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength.

Psa 29:2  Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.

Psa 29:3  The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters.

Psa 29:4  The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty.

Psa 29:5  The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars; yea, the LORD breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.

Psa 29:6  He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.

Psa 29:7  The voice of the LORD divideth the flames of fire.

Psa 29:8  The voice of the LORD shaketh the wilderness; the LORD shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.

Psa 29:9  The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.

Psa 29:10  The LORD sitteth upon the flood; yea, the LORD sitteth King for ever.

Psa 29:11  The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.

This simple but effective Psalm tells me to praise and worship the LORD, knowing for all the praise and worship we give him, he in turn gives us strength and peace.

I have been given a gift with creativity and write/sing/produce songs in my living room with a good friend Tony, I produced a solo album with Tony’s help.

I find myself in moments of despair in this life, feeling depressed at times, the last 2 years with the pandemic in our lives, even more so. And other times manic, but through it all, I trust God to show me the way, and to be my guiding light.

I found this faith in God, through Jesus Christ, knowing he laid down his life for me, that my sin be forgiven and cast away, his sacrifice brought us salvation.

I also have some physical disabilities, with my hip/neck/back, and even though I suffer with these things, I hold onto my faith in God, because I know I can’t get through any of this alone.

I know God is with me and thank the LORD every day for giving me life.

If nothing else, my suffering has brought me closer to God, not further from him. And some will ask if I believe in God, why hasn’t he healed me of my suffering?

I wish I had a good answer, but the only answer I find IN THE BIBLE is no matter how much I suffer, Jesus suffered more.

Knowing Jesus is LORD of my life, makes all the difference to how I see things.

Though I walk through life knowing death will come, faith in God keeps me going.
